   An earlier version said only that Neumann stepped down from WeWork in 2019. It now explains that he resigned as chief executive under investor pressure after the company's planned public listing, as reported in the listed sources.

   Patrick Collison: Architecting the Code Behind Global Online Payments

   An earlier version left out that Collison and his brother John founded Stripe in 2010, so the section on Stripe began mid-story. The passage has been restored from the listed sources.
